Dr. Larry A. Mercer serves as the Executive Administrator of Christian Education. His primary responsibilities are to oversee the Kingdom Agenda Bible Institute and the vision, mission, and effective administration of Kingdom Collegiate Academies, the private Christian school of OCBF located on two campuses in Dallas and DeSoto.
Christian Education, as one of the four vital experiences, gives us an experience with God’s perspective. Dr. Mercer ensures we teach the knowledge and application of God’s Word in our Bible institute and integrate a Kingdom worldview in the education of KCA students. As a licensed and ordained minister, Dr. Mercer assists the Senior Pastor in the areas of preaching, teaching, training, and pastoral care.
Additionally, Dr. Mercer manages the program and instructional design of OCBF’s Leadership Development training and helps the Senior Pastor with the church-wide strategic and operational plans for the ministry.
He is a senior executive-level leader with more than 30 years of experience providing leadership in the governmental, educational, ministry, and nonprofit sectors.
Rev. Mercer has earned academic degrees on the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels, including a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from East Carolina University and a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry, both from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Dr. Mercer and his wife Annie have been married for over 40 years and have four adult children and two grandchildren.
