Assist the Ministry Advancement department in the implementation and monitoring of communication activities for Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF) and affiliate organizations including advertising strategies, brand and image enhancement, as well as graphic design and layout of projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in an annual strategic marketing planning session for to development and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to maximize membership, ministry, and revenue growth for (OCBF) and affiliate organizations.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings of the Ministry Advancement department.
  • Assist with preparing and monitoring the budget for the Ministry Advancement department.
  • Assist with developing promotional strategies for Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and affiliates.
  • Work with the Ministry Advancement team on promotional activities for church-wide events and assist ministry departments in developing promotional strategies and materials for their special events.
  • Coordinate the organization, management, and assignment of marketing projects using the department’s project management application.
  • Assist the Ministry Advancement team with the creation of promotional media, specifically in copywriting tasks for web pages, commercial ads, e-bulletins, marketing campaigns, annual reports, brochures, social media, texts, multimedia presentations and other promotional products such as t-shirts, posters, flyers, etc. for programs and events that target OCBF members and the public at large.
  • Oversee the timely, accurate and quality completion of tasks related to the execution of all marketing projects, including copywriting, graphic design, new web pages, web updates, email marketing, audio/video and database functionality and content support.
  • Maintain knowledge of fundamental project management processes, methodologies, tools and techniques with the ability to adapt them to the organization.
  • Oversee the organization, management and filing of the department’s marketing assets, including graphics, photos, documents, videos, audio recordings, presentations, etc., in Dropbox and SmugMug.
  • Oversee the design of identity systems and trademarks for Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and affiliate organizations.
  • Assist the Executive Director in creating activities that increase participation in the use of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship’s websites.
  • Identify training needs and prepare and deliver technical training to contributors and others on the use of authoring language, conversion tools, and other website methods and techniques, as appropriate.
  • Provide training to church staff on web standards, protocol, and approvals.
  • Oversee the ongoing evaluation of website software and hardware to ensure the continued and future effectiveness and efficiency of the websites.
  • Interface with the Information Technology department and the church’s website for compliance with technical processes established by the church and in application/ hardware troubleshooting to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Ministry Advancement Director with ensuring the content and technical quality of video, graphic and web design/layout of all projects administered by the Ministry Advancement team and outsourced contractors.
  • Remain current with the latest technologies used by digital media, project management, artificial intelligence, social media, graphic design and web communities.
  • Work closely with the Ministry Advancement Assistant to keep abreast of all OCBF church and affiliates events and programs for proper scheduling, assignment and management of tasks.
  • Interact professionally, courteously, and in a timely manner with OCBF ministries on their communication and promotional needs in the Spirit of the Ministry.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in continuing education courses, professional organizations, seminars and workshops, reading current literature and maintaining professional contacts in the community.
  • Provides additional assistance as required to support the efforts of the department.
  • Performs to strengthen the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, its affiliates in general, and the Ministry Advancement department in particular.

Education and/or Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or the equivalent.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital media technologies.
  • Experience with a variety of computer graphics and desktop publishing programs.
  • Familiarity with web design standards.
  • Excellent writing skills, writing copy for various media such as print, web, social media, email marketing, presentations, and reports.

Required Skill Set
