You need a new story.  A different way of living.  A renewed mind.

We can help you make a SHIFT in your story to a new life and a renewed mind through interactive and relevant workshops that’ll help you create intimacy with God and a vibrant community with other singles. You don’t have to wait for a better season. This is your season to let your light shine for God’s glory and to the benefit of others. Each workshop will be offered twice on Saturday.

WorkShift

Most of us work in secular environments that often challenge our Christianity. In the absence of other believers in the workplace, we may find ourselves in a lonely and difficult spot. What is more, we desire to authentically incorporate our faith into our work life, but we don’t know how. WorkShift will teach you how to engage business relationships in the marketplace as a Christian. You will learn how to represent Christ well in one of the most overlooked mission fields—the workplace.

Gender Talks: A Shift in Communication

Communication is hard, especially between men and women. Oftentimes, well-intended messages get lost in translation or are simply misunderstood, leaving us feeling that communicating clearly with the opposite sex is an impossible feat.

During Gender Talks, we will discuss ways in which men and women communicate differently. You will learn how to listen to and better understand the opposite sex, as well as get practical advice on effective communication and navigate difficult conversations with ease.

Conversation Shift (Panel Discussion)

Friendship is the “secret sauce” for building a healthy relationship with the opposite sex. For many singles, it’s an untapped resource or it gets swallowed up in the marriage conversation. Making friends with the other gender is hard and keeping the friendship is even harder. Yet, singles who consider themselves content are the ones who thrive in community with other singles, male and female.

Hear from a panel of men and women discussing the power of friendship. They will share stories about how platonic relationships impacted their lives and transformed their single-life experience. You will learn the value of healthy platonic relationships between men and women.

Shift: What’s Next (40+ Singles Only)

Singlehood can become difficult as we get older. Conversations on singleness often exclude older singles. With so much focus placed on singles under 40, older singles are left wondering does God still have a purpose for them and what can they do that really matters.

Join in on What’s Next as singles 40 and over discuss the dynamics of being an older single. It’s never too late for seasoned singles to realize and live out their divine purpose and use their God-given gifts to create a spiritual legacy of an eternal impact for the Kingdom of God.

Shift to “I Do”

We love to talk about marriage, but many times our idea of marriage is more of a fantasy than a reality. Real marriages are a lot different than what we see posted on Instagram or Facebook! Being married can be great, however, singles must have realistic expectations of what marriage is like.

The Shift to “I Do” will provide an open dialogue about the realities of dating, engagement and marriage. Singles will hear about the pitfalls couples face in the early years of relationships and marriage, as well as be offered practical tips on preparing for marriage as a single.

Now plan to spend Friday night and Saturday with us as we SHIFT to creating vibrant communities, living out our purposes victoriously, and doing life together as SINGLES. Join us because we have a lot in store for you.
