Member Services Representative


Summary: Assist with the daily operational needs of the credit union by performing the following duties:

  • Provide a friendly customer service environment by greeting all members and visitors, anticipating member needs, and providing accurate service in a professional manner.
  • Maintain solid product knowledge of the services offered in the credit union and promote services based on the members’ needs.
  • Answer questions concerning credit union services and policies in person, by telephone, or via electronic requests.
  • Respond promptly to members’ requests and concerns and/or direct them to the appropriate person for assistance.
  • Provide information on investment alternatives to members wishing to deposit funds.
  • Research accounts for deposits, withdrawals, and loan-payment discrepancies.
  • Assist with opening new accounts, servicing existing accounts, processing loan applications, and reviewing loan documents with members.
  • Set up new account files and ensure that all required information is included.
  • Respond to requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check requests, CD transactions, line of credit advances, and any other requests received from members.
  • Process member mail transactions and mail receipts and checks to members as indicated by the policies and procedures.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), college degree preferred. One to two years prior banking and customer service skills is required. Must be able to work most Saturdays and Sundays and available during the week.
