Laura Meyer will share her personal testimony of her journey from a successful corporate career to a delightful ministry calling. Participants will learn how to identify, inventory and resource the essentials of their calling and learn how to operate within the boundaries of their calling to experience the greatest fulfillment and highest commendation from the Lord.
Laura L. Meyer is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, Bible Teacher and Author. She is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, with a Master's degree in Biblical Counseling and a Graduate Teacher's Diploma in Biblical Studies. She has authored 30 Days in August, an autobiography that documents her transition from a 17-year career as a Corporate Crude Oil Analyst for multinational oil company Royal Dutch Shell, to her current ministry calling. Rahab’s Walls, another publication, is the current text for one of the Free At Last support groups, with a powerful and inspiring look at the story of the biblical matriarch Rahab, and the legacy she left by overcoming the walls of personal and generational bondage. Laura has served for over twenty years in ministry leadership focusing on family, women’s issues and prayer. She is married to Brett and celebrates her daughter Jade, stepdaughter Julia and granddaughter, Jessie.

She has been dedicated to leading small discipleship groups since she was 17 years old and is passionate about walking alongside women to help them live victoriously. She also loves a good deal and hates to pay full price for anything. She seeks out deals and steals, and uses tricks of the trade to make sure she always gets the best price. She attends Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, where she has been a member for over 30 years. She met her sweetie, Derrick, while serving in the OCBF Singles Ministry, and they have been married 8 years. They have one overactive, feisty 3 year old that they love fiercely.

In a culture of deteriorating marriages, sexual confusion, and pain, Lila Stephenson is part of the movement to “cultivate a sexually healthy church.” In her private practice, Wholesome Intimacy – she provides a safe and godly place for individuals and married couples to find healing and restoration from the effects of trauma, infidelity, relationship/sexual wounds, and dysfunctions. Lila is the wife of Marvin Stephenson and the mother of four children. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Christian Sex Therapist, and a Covenant Lover Instructor. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

“Piece of Cake!” Basic Cake Baking

Baking a cake seems to be simple and easy; yet you follow the instructions and it does not come out right! It falls, or it is heavy, or it's not done, or it's dry! There is some science to baking so we will discuss the science and techniques for baking good cakes.
LaCracha Holley began cooking and baking at a very young age. Feeling called as an adult to pursue her childhood hobby and love full time, LaCracha left her career at Neiman Marcus as a Marketing Analyst to pursue her baking business. LaCracha has since graduated from culinary school with a degree in bakery/pastry, received her pastry chef certification (C.P.F.), and taken numerous additional specialty sugar art and cake decorating classes. She has worked as Assistant Pastry Chef at SMU (which included doing breads and desserts for the King and Queen of Spain as well as President and Mrs. George Bush. LaCracha now works full-time as owner of LaCracha's Creations, specializing in Wedding Cakes, Birthday Cakes, and Specialty Cakes. Her goal and mission is to create beautiful cakes that taste good!!! LaCracha Holley is married to Jeff, and is the mother of 3 GROWN MEN, so she’s had her share of cooking for the troops!
Stand by Your Man: Divorce is Not an Option

This class will encourage women to stand by their husbands, to take a look at how God designed marriage and avoid the path of divorce. With divorce on the rise, and just as much or more so in Christian homes, there is a great need to go back to the basics. We must not let modern thinking and the women’s liberation movement determine how we as Christian women view the institution of marriage. The Word of God should be our standard. We must as Christian wives, be ever so careful to make sure we are doing all we can to help our marriages become what God would have them to be.
Born and raised in Greenville, Mississippi, Lina Freeman accepted Christ at a young age. She is a Graduate of Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, receiving her Master’s and Bachelor’s, degree. She currently attends Southern Bible Institute and will Graduate, May 7, 2017 with a certificate in Marriage and Family Counseling. Lina has 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. She currently serves in the counseling ministry at OCBF, co-facilitating Freedom from Life without Purpose. She has facilitated and/or co-facilitated Divorce Care, Forgiveness, Freedom from Destructive Thoughts, Single and Satisfied classes. Having gone through marriage and divorce she is committed to share her story and help women struggling in their marriage.
Vision Boarding: Viewing Your Goals, Plans and Dreams

Habakkuk 2:2 says “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, vision boards can be a great way to have our goals, plans and dreams constantly and ‘plainly’ before us. Participants in this workshop will have an opportunity to create their very own vision boards in a fun and supportive environment. The instructor will explain and guide the group through the process while answering questions along the way. The ladies will be able to use each other as sounding boards, encouragers and inspiration as well.
All basic supplies will be provided.
Ardina Lockhart Colby is a self-proclaimed encourager. She finds great joy in helping others see the silver lining to life’s clouds. She enjoys singing, teaching, acting, dancing, hosting, organizing, laughing, cooking . . . . . and she’s excited to utilize all of her gifts and talents to build GOD’s kingdom. Ardina understands firsthand how coming to know Jesus as savior changes EVERYTHING and she’s always eager to share his love, with a smile . . . or a song . . . or an interpretive dance . . .or even just a hug. Who Am I (Youth Session): Peeling Back the Layers of You

This session will focus on helping girls peel back the layers of who they are according to God's Word and unmasking the real them. It will encourage them not to allow the filters on social media mask the beauty they have on the inside. Who they are matters and who they are needs to be seen because who they are is more precious, likable and lovable than who they pretend to be.
Candice Holmes is a wife, mother of four beautiful children, speaker and mentor. She is the Founder of Rock My Beauty God’s Way and currently serves as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. Through her organization and church she provides young girls with tools and resources for their spiritual growth, mentoring, life skills, and community service work. Candice has passion to see children reach their goals and be successful. She finds joy in highlighting children’s strengths and motivating them to use what they are given to be the best they can be.
