Summary:Oversee media services in regard to live AVL production for all regular and special events including audio, video, and lighting by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Other duties may be assigned)
  • Oversee the production of Media Ministry aspects pertaining to Sunday morning worship services, Wednesday night services, and special events in accordance with the Director of Media.
  • Supervise all volunteers, casual employees, and contractors during live services and events in the accordance with the direction of the Director of Media.
  • Schedule volunteers, casual employees, and (contractors with Director’s approval) well in advance for regular services and special events requiring media teams.
  • Attend and lead meetings and rehearsals as necessary to fully prepare for production.
  • Recruit and train all volunteers, casual employees, and contractors regularly to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved.
  • Coordinate the production for audio, video, and lighting for approved special guests using OCBF facilities. Keep abreast of current audio, video, and lighting industry trends, new technologies, and standards and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Maintain all audio, video, and lighting equipment while ensuring the equipment is in good working order. Install new audio, video, and lighting and distribution equipment across campus.
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment problems to ensure required repairs are made.
  • Prepare and distribute the media script for all services and events.
  • Oversee line and sound checks prior to all services and events.
  • Assist the Director of Media with department projects and operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise volunteers, causal employees and contractors in regard to live AVL production in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, preparing, scheduling, assigning, producing, and operating, training, recruiting, appraising, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in AVL/Radio/ Film/ Television or related field and 3 years of experience or completion of specialized training plus 2 years of experience. Experience in live production, live radio, and TV production is desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable of media equipment and signal routing.
  • Knowledgeable of audio mixing and acoustics.
  • Knowledgeable of digital and analog audio and lighting consoles and DMX
  • Knowledgeable of instrument and vocal microphone techniques
  • Knowledgeable of intelligent and theatrical fixtures.
  • Knowledgeable of live video and camera production
  • Knowledgeable of technical rider fulfillment
  • Knowledgeable of presentation and graphics/CG
  • Ability to recruit and train volunteers and staff
