Part Tme Receptionist

Summary: Serve as the first point of contact for the Worship Center via phone and/or in person by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Other duties may be assigned)
  • Answer telephone, screen and direct calls.
  • Provide information to customers, take and relay messages.
  • Greet clients entering the office and refer to appropriate personnel.
  • Answer inquiries from the public and customers.
  • Stay abreast of staff movements in and out of the ministry and school.
  • Create and prepare letters, correspondence, reports and other documents when necessary.
  • Log conference room appointments for meetings.
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area.
  • Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with processing orders and receiving orders.
  • Ensuring background checks, previous employment verifications are completed.
  • Assist with setting up applicants up on workstations to complete employment process.
  • Assist with maintaining applicant files.
  • Ensure all documents submitted to Human Resources have been date stamped and submitted to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist as needed with set up and decorating needs of HR Events.
  • Update the HR Volunteer Calendar.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
