Family Services Coordinator

Summary: 
Plan, organize, and implement family support services for clients by performing the following duties:
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Other duties may be assigned)
  • Supervise and assist families as they follow the implemented weekend program.
  • Overnight and weekend stay MFH transitional home as needed.
  • Provide mentoring and lay counseling to client families.
  • Plan and participate in weekend family-focused activities.
  • Coordinate transportation and childcare supervision as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and implement client services programs.
  • Collaborate with the Family Life Coordinator to ensure completion of the program is successful.
  • Organize, inventory, and distribute household goods and services.
  • Attend and engage in professional development opportunities, seminars, and workshops.
  • Ensure absolute confidentiality regarding family information records.
  • Attend and participate in all staff and management meetings.
  • Coordinate, develop, and execute special projects as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling or related field or a combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of community resources and experience and skill in working directly with children, youth, parents, and community groups.

Other Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable of transitional group home support and living.
  • Knowledgeable of social service support.
  • Must have lay counseling, counseling and conflict resolution skills
  • Must have strong organizational and management skills.
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Must have the ability to stay overnight and weekends
  • Must have a standard valid driver’s license
