The Sick Ministry extends the power of God’s love and comfort to our members and their families during times of illness, including recovery from surgery. A combination of activities support our members and/or their families that are sick including hospital and home visits; get-well cards offering words of good will, faith and love; and phone calls and prayer.
The Bereavement Ministry provides comfort and care to those members experiencing hurt due to the loss of a loved one. It is during these difficult times that we want our hurting members to experience the compassion of Christ through us as we offer prayers of encouragement and support. Ministry services include attendance at funerals and wakes; home visitations; sympathy cards that express our condolences and offer words of faith, hope and love; and phone calls and prayer.
Long-term Illness Ministry
The Long-term Illness Ministry provides spiritual and personal support to people with chronic and long-term illnesses. Physical and mental limitations may prevent our chronically ill members from attending and participating in the life of our church, so it’s vital that our church reach out to these members on a regular basis. Staff and volunteers visit nursing homes, rehab centers and personal homes as well as send cards, make phone calls and offer prayer.
Neonatal / Newborn Ministry
The Neonatal/Newborn Ministry provides encouragement to mothers and families of newborns, helping them to stay on top of mental and physical health issues. Staff and volunteers make hospital visits and are available for home visits based on the need, schedule and comfort level of the family. Mothers and families receive cards and are prayed for by the ministry.
