Rev. Patrick Dopson serves as the Associate Pastor of Worship at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. As the leader of Worship, Rev. Dopson oversees the following departments: Music & Creative Arts, Media and Hospitality Services.
Worship, as one of the four vital experiences, seeks to create a church that recognizes the Glory of God. The worship experience is meant to strengthen and catapult believers into a deeper commitment and purpose in their walk with the Lord. Therefore, Rev. Dopson is charged with creating an atmosphere conducive for the people of God to have an experience with the Person of God.
More specifically, Rev. Dopson is responsible for the coordination of the worship program for Sunday morning and Wednesday night services, Family Vacation Bible School, church-wide conferences and other events such as weddings, funerals, and ordinations. He also assists the Senior Pastor in the areas of teaching, training and pastoral care of members.
Prior to OCBF, Rev. Dopson’s 22 years of ministry experience include holding the senior pastorate at Crossing Place Fellowship in Franklin, LA. Additionally, he has proclaimed the goodness of God as a nationally acclaimed gospel-recording artist and songwriter. He started his music career, in 2012, with the release of Open the Heavens by Oilonit Music, which is his own label. Over the span of his music career, Rev. Dopson has collaborated with many well-known gospel artists and appeared on numerous television networks.
Rev. Dopson has been married to Christina since the age of 19. They are the parents of two sons, Garion and Isaiah.
