Rev. Michael Bethany serves as the Associate Pastor of Worship at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship where he is the primary worship leader and chief musician.
In this role, Rev. Bethany oversees the following departments: Music, Media and Hospitality Services. His primary responsibility is the coordination of the worship program for Sunday and Wednesday services, Family Vacation Bible School, church-wide conferences and other events such as weddings, funerals, and ordinations at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. He also assists the Senior Pastor in the areas of teaching, training and pastoral care of members.
Worship, as one of the four vital experiences, seeks to create a church that celebrates the Glory of God. The worship experience is meant to strengthen and catapult believers into a deeper commitment and purpose in their walk with the Lord.
The son of the late Pastor Charles & Patricia Bethany, Rev. Bethany grew up serving in his father’s church in the heart of his native St. Louis, MO. After a successful career as an Electrical Designer, he studied Ministry & Leadership at Missouri Baptist University.
A seasoned gospel recording artist, Rev. Bethany fuses his God-given ability as a dynamic musician with his capacity for effective team-building to lead and mentor musicians, vocalists and other creative arts staff and volunteers (including drama, video, sound and lighting) to create an atmosphere conducive for the people of God to have an experience with the Person of God.
Michael is married to Chavon, and they’ve been blessed with two sons, Michael Isaiah and Nathan Michael.
