Everyone is welcomed at OCBF. It is our sincere desire that all men, women, boys and girls come into a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and experience daily the power of His eternal love. A believer can increasingly grow into an intimate, vibrant relationship with Christ as he or she becomes more grounded in His Word.
The Church has been delegated kingdom authority to act on heaven’s behalf in history. This heavenly authority given to believers can be seen in Matthew 18:18-20 with the principle of “binding and loosing.”
Prayer is the key that allows believers to experience the power of heaven on earth – but prayer has to be prioritized. The last chapter of James emphasizes the importance of prayer simply by the number of times prayer is mentioned.
In Luke 7, a centurion has a sick servant, so he calls on Jesus to solve his problem. His request for Jesus’ help is, in effect, a form of prayer asking for help with a serious problem that was out of his control to solve.
All of life is a stewardship because all of life comes from and is under the authority of the King. Psalm 128 best exemplifies this by touching on every aspect of life according to God’s kingdom agenda.
We may not read a lot about Shamgar in the bible, but his story is very powerful. When a man starts where he is and uses the tools he already has, God will improve his life, his family, and his community.
