To assist the Ministry Advancement department with the management of the OCBF, KCA and TTA websites. This includes, but is not limited to programming, email marketing, streaming audio/video, content management, ecommerce, and database management solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned)

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings.
  • Assist in the management of all aspects of the OCBF, KCA and TTA websites including programming, design, updates, email marketing, ecommerce, streaming audio/video, database functionality and content support.
  • Ensure website content is consistent with the message and design of a variety of promotional materials for a given project.
  • Assist in the ongoing evaluation of website software and hardware as well as stay up-to-date on trends and new developments in website development and design to ensure the continued and future effectiveness and efficiency of the websites.
  • Build and/or code web pages as necessary, uploading necessary documents and publications to the website server and/or associated cloud storage locations.
  • Provide assistance to church staff as needed on various web functions such as uploading images, inserting hyperlinks, adding/editing text and other basic web functions.
  • Interface with the Information Technology department (IT) and the church’s website company(ies) for compliance with technical processes established by the church and in application/hardware troubleshooting to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Work with the graphic designers on the implementation of promotional media for the websites as well as the design and layout of internal web pages.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in continuing education courses, professional organizations, seminars, workshops, reading current literature and maintaining professional contacts in the community.
  • Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church and its affiliates in general and Ministry Advancement in particular.

  • Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro
  • HTML and CSS programming
  • Search engine optimization (SEO)
  • WordPress and similar content management systems and WordPress Managed Hosting
  • Front-end and back-end page builders
  • Knowledge of Church Management Systems (ChMS)
  • Cloud storage use and website integration
  • Google Analytics
  • Chrome Development Tools (or similar dev tool utilities)
  • Ability to work on a dual platform (Mac/PC) desired
  • JavaScript and JQuery desired

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s degree (AA or AS) or equivalent.
  • Two years direct responsibility for multi-faceted marketing program; strong working knowledge of marketing multimedia and web design.
  • Familiarity with current web design standards and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills (clean, articulate and professional in speaking and writing).
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as Web Administrator (Webmaster).
  • Working knowledge of best web practices, web servers and basic Internet protocols is essential.
