Spiritual Formation Coordinator

Department: Kingdom Collegiate Academy (KCA)

The Spiritual Formation Coordinator is a year-round school role that plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integration of biblical principles throughout all programs at KCA. This position guides and enhances spiritual development in academic, extracurricular, and athletic programs, ensuring a Christ-centered approach in all aspects of school life.

Core Responsibilities

Ministerial Responsibilities & Spiritual Care

All employees of Kingdom Collegiate Academy, an educational ministry of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, serve in ministerial roles that contribute to the spiritual mission and ministry of the church. As such, employees are expected to model Christian values, support the spiritual development of others, and actively contribute to a Christ-centered work environment. This includes engaging in prayer and spiritual encouragement with co-workers and church members, participating in staff meetings and Bible studies, and demonstrating a personal commitment to ongoing spiritual growth.

Biblical Integration & Spiritual Formation

• Oversee the integration of biblical truth in chapel programs, academics, and fine
• Collaborate with faculty to support seamless integration of faith and learning in all subject
• Guide the spiritual direction of extracurricular activities, ensuring they reflect Christian
• Provide resources and training to staff and facilitate effective biblical
• Cultivate a school environment that supports spiritual growth and maturity in
• Engage with the school community to support spiritual
• Evaluate and adapt spiritual formation programs to meet the needs of the school
• Act as a spiritual mentor and advisor, promoting discipleship and faith

Program Oversight & Collaboration

• Provide oversight for spiritual formation initiatives in coordination with the Head of School and other school leaders.
• Exhibit strong leadership in guiding the spiritual formation of the school community.
• Develop strategies for fostering spiritual growth and integrating biblical principles in school
  programs.
• Work cooperatively with a diverse range of individuals and teams and seek the counsel of
  administrators and colleagues as needed.
• Effectively convey Christian teachings in educational and pastoral settings.
• Plan and organize work activities, set goals and objectives, and develop realistic action plans.

Campus and Instructional Support

• Provide leadership and support for the overall operation of the campus, responding to campus needs as they arise.
• Provide instructional and classroom support to teachers and students as needed to promote a positive and effective learning environment.
• Serve as the Spiritual Growth Teacher for middle and high school students, providing instruction that supports students’ spiritual development and understanding of a biblical worldview.
• Develop, administer, and assign grades for the Spiritual Growth curriculum in alignment with established academic and spiritual formation expectations.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee student chapel experiences, including programming, speakers, worship, and other elements that support the school’s spiritual formation goals.
• Coordinate and facilitate in-service professional development for faculty and staff, ensuring training is aligned with the school’s instructional, operational, and professional growth priorities.
• Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff to identify campus and instructional needs and implement strategies that strengthen student learning and school culture.

Professional Standards & Communication

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct in interactions with students, families, faculty, staff, and the public.
• Communicate clearly and persuasively, listen for understanding, and demonstrate effective group presentation skills.
• Write routine reports and correspondence clearly and accurately using standard English.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Christian Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree
  preferred
• A vibrant, personal Christian faith and full alignment with the mission, vision, and statement of
  faith of Kingdom Collegiate Academy and Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
• Demonstrated experience working with children in a school, ministry, mentoring, or counseling setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize multiple programs and priorities simultaneously, with strong follow-through.
• Successful completion of background check and any state-required clearances.
