Department: Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF)

The Director of Production provides strategic leadership across all production environments within the ministry, ensuring that worship services, conferences, special events, funerals, and ministry gatherings are executed with excellence, consistency, and alignment with the church’s mission and vision. This role leads the production ministry by developing leaders, building healthy teams, stewarding technology and resources, and creating systems that support meaningful worship experiences. Serving as a key leader within the Worship team, the Director of Production oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of pre-production, production, and post-production elements.

Core Responsibilities

Ministerial Responsibilities & Spiritual Care

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the philosophy, ministry, and vision of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
  • Support the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of the church family through prayer, presence, and ministry engagement.
  • Provide prayer, spiritual assistance, and ministerial support to coworkers and individuals encountered in the course of work.
  • Communicate and model biblical principles during staff meetings, ministry activities, and church events.
  • Model a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and the church’s core values.
  • Engage in ongoing spiritual discipleship while faithfully carrying out essential job responsibilities in support of the church’s mission to disciple believers and impact the world.

Production Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide leadership for media production for all worship services, conferences, special events, concerts, ministry gatherings, and church-wide productions, ensuring excellence in execution.
  • Lead the execution of media production for ministry-wide events and programming developed by the Programming & Events team, ensuring all technical, media, staging, and operational elements are aligned and delivered with excellence.
  • Collaborate with pastors, worship leaders, ministry leaders, event teams, and others, as needed, to translate ministry vision into effective production execution.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of audio, video, lighting, staging, presentation, livestream, and broadcast elements.
  • Oversee production planning processes, service flows, production schedules, and event timelines.

Production Planning & Operations

  • Develop and maintain production standards, operational procedures, and best practices.
  • Evaluate current systems and identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, efficiency, and production quality.
  • Create scalable systems capable of supporting future ministry growth and expansion.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, scheduling, communication, and planning processes are consistently followed.
  • Develop and manage annual production budgets and capital improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, copyright, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, equipment purchases, service agreements, and production contracts.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and support team members and volunteers through coaching, clear expectations, and ongoing professional development.
  • Lead with a shepherd’s heart, demonstrating care for people while ensuring clarity, structure, and results.
  • Provide regular feedback, performance guidance, and recognition to promote engagement and continuous growth.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, unity, and shared ownership across ministries.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Production, Media, Communications, Worship Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in live production, church production, broadcast production, or event production.
  • Demonstrated experience leading staff and volunteer teams.
  • Experience overseeing large-scale worship services, conferences, special events, or comparable live productions.
  • Working knowledge of OBS Studio, Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Frame.io, church platforms (e.g., MediaShout), and other production software and media systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to prevent operational silos through cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of audio, video, lighting, livestream, broadcast, presentation, and production technologies.
  • Understanding of copyright, licensing, livestream compliance, and production safety standards.
