Under general direction, maintain the integrity of the church management database system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, compile, and sort information for data integrity in a timely manner.
  • Maintain data integrity by following approved policies and procedures.
  • Verify entered data for members and non-members by reviewing, correcting, deleting, combining data, and purging records to eliminate duplication and lack of consistency of data.
  • Attach appropriate documents, member photos, etc. to member profiles in the membership database as needed.
  • Create new records and maintain existing records within the membership database, as well as ensure that the confidentiality of collected data is maintained.
  • Enter new data into the membership database and maintain existing data utilizing prospective member data forms and registration forms from the church’s website.
  • Provide on-going training support to ministry staff, address member and non-member inquiries to ensure necessary tasks are performed and integrity of the membership database are maintained.
  • Serve as a back-up to Membership Services staff for specific tasks to ensure departmental coverage during absences.
  • Troubleshoot problems with the system, determine source, advise on appropriate action, and document resolutions for future reference.
  • Attend ministry client meetings as it relates to church management system and registrations.
  • Set-up and maintain kiosks for event check-in and attendance when necessary.
  • Compile reports to reflect progress of database maintenance.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED with at least two years of related experience in data processing.
