Department: Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF)

The Kingdom Communities Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of OCBF’s Kingdom Communities model, helping establish a decentralized ministry structure through which members experience meaningful connection, discipleship, care, service, and community engagement. This position translates the Kingdom Community vision into consistent, repeatable ministry practices by coordinating local leaders, supporting leader development, and maintaining ministry systems and communication rhythms.

Core Responsibilities

Ministerial Responsibilities & Spiritual Care

All employees of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship serve in a ministerial role that contributes to the spiritual mission and ministry of the church. As such, employees are expected to model Christian values, support the spiritual development of others, and actively contribute to a Christ-centered work environment. This includes engaging in prayer and spiritual encouragement with co-workers and church members, participating in staff meetings and Bible studies, and demonstrating a personal commitment to ongoing spiritual growth.

Kingdom Community Implementation & Operations

  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of OCBF’s Kingdom Communities model, helping move ministry connection and engagement closer to members within their local communities.
  • Coordinate operational processes, tools, resources, and ministry rhythms that enable Kingdom Communities to function consistently and effectively.
  • Help develop and maintain scalable ministry resources, including leader guides, onboarding materials, communication tools, ministry processes, and shared resources.
  • Support short- and long-range planning for Kingdom Communities initiatives, including membership engagement, volunteer involvement, community outreach, and ministry infrastructure.

Member Connection & Ministry Care

  • Support systems and processes designed to ensure members are connected to a Kingdom Community and have pathways for discipleship, service, care, and connection.
  • Coordinate appropriate follow-up related to member needs in partnership with Kingdom Communities leaders and other OCBF ministries.
  • Help identify gaps in participation, engagement, or follow-up and work collaboratively to ensure individuals do not fall through the cracks.

Communication, Reporting & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate ministry records, participation information, leader documentation, and other data necessary to evaluate Kingdom Community effectiveness.
  • Support the preparation of reports, summaries, and ministry updates that provide leadership with visibility into Kingdom Community activity, engagement, needs, and opportunities.
  • Partner across OCBF ministries to promote Kingdom Communities and create clear pathways for members to connect, serve, and engage.
  • Represent and promote the Kingdom Community ministry through church events, conferences, ministry gatherings, and community initiatives as assigned.
  • Track participation, engagement, leader activity, and other ministry indicators to help assess the effectiveness and health of Kingdom Communities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, leadership, business, communications, organizational development, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating ministry programs, small groups, volunteer programs, community engagement, membership, or related initiatives strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects, people, processes, and ministry activities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with volunteers and lay leaders in a church, nonprofit, community, or service-oriented environment preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across diverse groups of members, volunteers, ministry leaders, and staff.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records, track follow-up, and prepare reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn church management, database, communication, and ministry technology platforms.
