Department: Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF)

The Director of Creative Marketing leads the creative vision and execution for the Marketing department, overseeing the development of compelling visual storytelling and creative experiences across Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. This role provides direction and strategy for creative campaigns, brand expression, and multimedia content, guiding internal contributors and external creative partners. The Director of Creative Marketing leads contractor and agency relationships, ensuring alignment, quality, and consistency across creative deliverables.

Core Responsibilities

Ministerial Responsibilities & Spiritual Care

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the philosophy, ministry, and vision of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
  • Support the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of the church family through prayer, presence, and ministry engagement.
  • Provide prayer, spiritual assistance, and ministerial support to coworkers and individuals encountered in the course of work.
  • Communicate and model biblical principles during staff meetings, ministry activities, and church events.
  • Model a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and the church’s core values.
  • Engage in ongoing spiritual discipleship while faithfully carrying out essential job responsibilities in support of the church’s mission to disciple believers and impact the world.

Creative Direction & Brand Stewardship

  • Lead the development and execution of creative concepts, visual storytelling, and brand-aligned design
  • Help maintain consistency in visual identity, tone, and creative expression across print, digital, video, social, and environmental platforms
  • Apply established brand standards and creative guidelines to ensure cohesive and mission-aligned communication across ministry initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Marketing, ministry leaders, and the Lead Pastor’s Office to translate ministry priorities and campaign objectives into engaging creative experiences
  • Direct the creative concepting and visual development process for sermon series, ministry campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and special events
  • Stay informed on emerging creative trends, communication styles, and digital engagement practices to help strengthen the effectiveness and relevance of creative output

Production Oversight & Creative Quality

  • Manage and facilitate the creative brief process to ensure projects begin with clear objectives, audience alignment, timelines, and ministry priorities
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend creative agency partners and freelance contractors with the necessary capabilities to meet ministry needs and standards
  • Provide creative direction, review, and feedback on deliverables produced by designers, agencies, contractors, and creative partners to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with brand standards
  • Help maintain a high standard of creative quality and brand consistency across print, digital, social media, environmental, and broadcast applications
  • Oversee the creative production process from concept through final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, aligned with expectations, and effectively support ministry initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal teams, ministry leaders, and external partners to prioritize creative requests and maintain workflow efficiency across multiple projects and campaigns

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Worship & Media on the visual and experiential elements of worship services, including sermon series graphics, screen content, stage visuals, and event environments
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Strategist to develop creative assets that are audience-aware, platform-appropriate, and aligned with campaign objectives
  • Support the Executive Director on high-visibility ministry initiatives by providing creative leadership, production coordination, and visual development oversight
  • Collaborate with KCA and ministry partners to help maintain visual consistency and support creative initiatives across the broader ministry ecosystem

Team & Operational Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and support team members through coaching, clear expectations, and ongoing professional development.
  • Foster a creative culture within the department that values excellence, innovation, integrity, and servant-hearted collaboration
  • Provide regular feedback, performance guidance, and recognition to promote engagement and continuous growth.
  • Participate in annual strategic planning sessions to align creative resources and direction with ministry goals and budget parameters

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Creative Direction, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or related field required. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in creative services, brand management, or creative leadership
  • Portfolio required demonstrating breadth across brand identity, campaign creative, and multi-channel execution.
  • Ministry, non-profit, or mission-driven organization experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading creative teams or projects across multiple platforms or managing agency relationships
  • Strong understanding of creative workflows, production timelines, and project coordination in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills
