Department: Kingdom Collegiate Academy (KCA)

The Elementary Teacher provides a nurturing, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment that supports the academic, spiritual, social, and character development of young learners. This role is responsible for cultivating a love for God, others, and learning while delivering instruction.

Core Responsibilities

Teaching & Classroom Leadership

  • Teach all assigned subjects using the school’s approved curriculum, biblical integration practices, state standards, and research-based instructional strategies to support student achievement and growth.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate differentiated instruction and student-centered learning to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Prepare, administer, grade, and analyze assessments while maintaining accurate attendance, grade, and progress records through the school’s approved systems.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, organized, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment with clear behavioral and academic expectations.
  • Support students’ academic, emotional, social, and spiritual development by providing guidance, encouragement, and appropriate interventions when needed.

School Culture & Professional Expectations

  • Model Christ-like character and support the spiritual mission of the school through participation in prayer, chapel, discipleship activities, worship services, and positive engagement with students and families.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians through consistent, professional communication regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff, and support personnel to advance the school’s mission, instructional goals, and overall student success.
  • Attend and actively participate in required meetings, professional development sessions, committees, school events, and assigned supervisory duties.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with all school policies, procedures, safety protocols, and operational expectations while representing the school positively on and off campus.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university.
  • At least three years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in a Christian school.
  • State Teacher certification (Standard or Alternative) or ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) certification is required.

  • Ability to engage and inspire students with diverse learning profiles, particularly high-ability learners.
  • Strong critical and creative thinking skills with the ability to model these skills for students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in curriculum design and instructional delivery.
