Department: Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF)
The Executive Director of Kingdom Communities provides strategic leadership for a unified ecosystem of Fellowship and Outreach. This role is responsible for cultivating an environment where the body of believers is empowered to create meaningful experiences that drive spiritual development and advance the Kingdom Agenda. Rather than focusing solely on centralized programming, this department takes a community-forward approach, supporting the organic ministry and mission initiated by the congregation both within the church and throughout the broader community.
Core Responsibilities
Ministerial Responsibilities & Spiritual Care
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the philosophy, ministry, and vision of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
- Support the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of the church family through prayer, presence, and ministry engagement.
- Provide prayer, spiritual assistance, and ministerial support to coworkers and individuals encountered in the course of work.
- Communicate and model biblical principles during staff meetings, ministry activities, and church events.
- Model a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and the church’s core values.
- Engage in ongoing spiritual discipleship while faithfully carrying out essential job responsibilities in support of the church’s mission to disciple believers and impact the world.
Strategic Leadership & Ministry Alignment
- Lead the overall vision, strategy, and execution of Kingdom Communities, integrating Fellowship and Outreach into a unified, high-impact ministry.
- Establish a clear and compelling framework for how individuals engage in community, discipleship, and service across the church and external outreach efforts.
- Align Kingdom Communities with the broader organizational vision, ensuring consistency with the church’s mission, values, and strategic priorities.
- Design and oversee a comprehensive community engagement model that connects individuals into meaningful relationships and spiritual growth opportunities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to community engagement, discipleship, volunteer involvement, and outreach impact.
Community Engagement & Kingdom Impact

- Ensure clear pathways exist for individuals to move from attendance to active participation in Kingdom Communities.
- Champion an environment where individuals are known, loved, valued, spiritually developed, and commissioned.
- Provide strategic oversight for outreach initiatives, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission to impact the broader community.
- Foster partnerships and initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for service, evangelism, and Kingdom impact.
- Ensure outreach efforts are both spiritually impactful and operationally eective.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, develop, and coach directors and ministry leaders within Kingdom Communities to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards for leaders and
teams. - Equip leaders to effectively shepherd their teams while driving ministry outcomes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, unity, and shared ownership across ministries.
- Operate as an enterprise leader, contributing to ministry-wide alignment and decisionmaking.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or theological training preferred.
- 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in ministry, community engagement, or organizational leadership.
- Proven ability to lead large, complex functions or ministries with multiple teams and leaders.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
- Experience in discipleship, outreach, and community-building initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop leaders and build high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relational leadership skills.
