Child Care Worker - Part-Time

Job Summary:

Provide proper care and nurturing to babies through sixth graders, Mother's Day Out, evening hours during the week, Saturday, Sunday afternoons, church services and special events.

Job Functions:

  1. Come prepared with lesson plans, care for the day.  Have time well planned and structured to meet the needs of the children being served.
  2. Shares in cooperative planning and evaluation of each child within their care.
  3. Participate and attend childcare staff meetings, children's ministry, any other staff growth, and development training.
  4. Be faithful to the hours scheduled and in case of emergency or illness to notify the child care/nursery coordinator in a timely manner.
  5. Responsible for safety and health needs of at all times. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrate Christ-likeness in every aspect of life, and not participate in any alternative lifestyles.
  2. Must be CPR and First Aid Certified.
  3. Must meet the requirements outlined in the Department of Human Services minimal standards for day care centers.

AfterSchool Bus Driver - Part-Time

Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time scheduled by performing the following duties.

Job Functions:

  1. Drive a schooll bus safely and professionally.
  2. Perform and properly complete daily pre-trip inspections.

PreSchool Lead Teacher

Job Summary:

Reponsible for planning and executing the educational program in accordance with the purpose and goals of school.  Responsible for the general supervision and management of a class of preschool children.

Job Functions:

  1. Prepare lesson plans, teach basic skills, evaluate students, manage classroom, supervise children at all times, and keep ratio counts.
  2. Plan, supervise, and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Child's Day.
  3. Gear the program to the needs of individual children with concerns for their interests, handicaps, special talents, and individual style and pace of learning.
  4. Work with parents to promote understanding of their child's growth and development; encourage parent participation in school programs; attend parent group and Center functions; conduct conferences on request.

  • A Child Development Associate Credential with at least one year of experience working in a regulated child care/preschool facility including at least six months of experience working at a child day or
  • At least 12 college credit hours in Child Development and/or Early Childhood Education with at least one year of experience working in a regulated child care/preschool facility including at least six months of experience working at Child's Day.
  • Must be able to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax and adding machine.
  • Must complete 15 hours of training to comply with minimum standards each year.

Director of Couples Ministry

Job Summary:

Plan and coordinate special events and activities for members.  Assist the Associate Pastor of Fellowship in the organization, development, coordination and administration of the Couple Small Groups Ministry structure by performing a variety of duties.

Job Functions:

  1. Establish and carry out definite Couples Small Group Programs in and out of Church Campus.
  2. Set up Couples Small Group Programs that occur at Oak Cliff Bible Church.
  3. Set up and manage Couples Small Group Programs that occur throughout the community.
  4. Work with other small group leaders to ensure groups are managed well.
  5. Submit reports necessary for keeping the church fully informed on the activities of the program.
  6. Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding clients and other ministry activities.
  7. Assist in the training of new leaders and in the continuous training of the established leaders.
  8. Assist in the development of training material.
  9. Develop marital enrichment classes.
  10. Provide and schedule regular counseling hours of individual and group/family counseling.
  11. Handle the administrative needs of the couple counseling ministry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. The successful candidate must be a member or willing to become a member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
  2. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations is critical, as well as the ability to work independently.
  3. Must possess solid time management skills and organizational abilities.
  4. The ability to communicate and establish effective working relationships with all levels of people, conveying a genuine concern for their needd and a desire provide exceptional services, is essential for this position.
  5. Maintain a growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession, and fellowship.
  6. Must be able to operate basic offifce equipment such as copier, fax and adding machine.

Nurse Manager

Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager oversees the provision of client care and medical services operations.

Job Functions:

  1. Review each record for the Intake Form and Consent for Performance of Medical Services and Release and Liability form.
  2. Meet with patient and review Medical Services Patient Instruction form and medical procedure.
  3. Record Client's Medical History, allergies, weight, and vital signs in the record.  Place Physician Order and Exam Report in the record.
  4. Provide support to the other medical staff, including chaperoning exams.
  5. Meet with patient after the exam for pregnancy counseling, education, and referrals.
  6. Arrange and provide client follow-up.
  7. Provide ultrasounds according to medical standards of care. 
  8. Provide patient pregnancy counseling, education, and referrals.

Medical Services:

  • OperationsDocument clinical findings, observation, and medical care in patient record.
  • Review client records at the end of each week.
  • Ensure that medical equipment is properly operated and maintained.
  • Maintain staff personnel records.
  • In conjunction with the medical services director, provide staff annual Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation review, infection control regulations, and continuing education.

Continuing Education

  • Comply with state and professional continuing education requirements.
  • Annual renewal of CPR certification.
  • Annual review of Center policies and procedures and infection control regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.
  2. Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  3. Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to sexual purity.
  4. Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle and the policies of the center.

Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor or Master's degree in nursing or equivalent experience.  Have two years of experience in obstetrics.  Be certified to provide limited obstetrical standards.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Licensed and certified ultrasound technician.
  • Certification to provide limited obstetrical ultrasounds.

Repairman

Keeps building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Job Functions:

  1. Repairs, walls, ceilings, counters, floors, doors, etc.
  2. Remodel restrooms, classrooms kitchens, etc.
  3. Performs structural repairs.
  4. Perform various wall treatments including, texturing, painting, wallpapering, and tiling.
  5. Performs various floor treatments including laying vinyl, carpet, and tile.
  6. Repairs and installs sinks, toilets, faucets, and garbage disposals.
  7. Repair and install door and cabinet locks and closing assemblies.
  8. Repair water fountains, stoves, and other machinery equipment.
  9. Perform preventative maintenance assignments.
  10. Studies blue prints, sketches, and/or building plans in order to perform necessary repairs or to communicate other other repair specialists.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Ability to opeate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  3. Ability to work varies hours/day, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  4. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to lift merchandise, fixtures, and equipment as needed, and perform all functions as set forth above.
  5. Ability to read blue prints, sketches, or building plans.

Required Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 - 5 years of verifiable experience in carpentry and plumbing and/or electrical work.  Some trade for carpentry, plumbing, or electrical or equivalent experience preferred.

Director of Public Schools Outreach

The Director of Public Schools Outreach is responsible for the design and successful implementation of school-based, after-school and weekend programming for public schools youngsters and their families.  Duties include, but are not limited to, the hiring, training, supervising, and evaluation of public schools outreach staff, promoting PTA outreach services to the community and working closely with public school personnel in providing services to Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex public schools.

Job Functions:

  1. Participates in strategic planning sessions of PTA.
  2. Coordinates services and activities with other PTA directors.
  3. Develops and implements a plan for recruiting youth and adults to participate in various PTA programs.
  4. Plans and implements presentation on various health and social issues for community organizations, faith groups, and schools.
  5. Assists in the development of social and health wellness modules for participants, public schools and the community.
  6. Develops and enhances an evaluation system that includes data collection, analysis and communication of results.
  7. Performs all other responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  2. Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous tasks and details.
  3. Demonstrated skills in handling sensitive and confidential information and materials.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and software packages.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of community resources.
  6. The ability to work effectively with a multicultural staff and community.
  7. Must be a member or willing to become a member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
  8. Ability to work in a team leadership with other church leaders.

Grants Coordinator

Job Summary:

Assist the Executive Director of Marketing and Development in the submission of grant applications to foundations, corporations and government.

Job Functions:  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist with the development and execution of a fund development plan that will sufficiently meet the financial needs of OCBF miniistries and affiliates, specifically Project Turn Around, Fellowship Christian Academy and The Urban Alternative, including the organizations' capital needs.
  2. Gather information through interviews and other means that will easily allow you to grasp the concept of a project or program for which funding is sought as defined by the person responsible for carrying it out.
  3. Acquire and maintain sound knowledge and understanding of the organization, and use that knowledge and understanding to better comprehend all projects and programs for which grants will be sought and to recommend the seeking of grants.
  4. Workd with fiscal staff in collecting financial information including budgets, presented in the prescribed format required by grants.
  5. Research grant-making organizations and analyze them to identify likely funding sources for specific projects and programs.
  6. Compile, write, and edit all grant applications exhibiting strong expository writing skills and a high-level command of grammar and spelling.
  7. Develop individual grant proposals in accordance with each grant-making organization's preferences and follow exactly each grant-making organization's guidelines.
  8. Provides additional assistance as required to support the efforts of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with national, state, and especially the local corporate and foundation community.
  2. Strong research and grant-writing skills.
  3. Excellent communication skills: clear, articulate, and professional in speaking and writing.
  4. Excellent organizational skills:  able to set priorities and achieve goals.
  5. Proficient in word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and database software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and various donor software programs preferred.
  6. Independent self-starter, capable of initiating projects both independently and as a part of a team.
  7. Work under pressure to meet established resources.
  8. Willing and able to attend professional development programs.
  9. A commitment to Christ and to the mission of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in English, journalism, or communications.
  • Four years professional grant-writing experience with a proven track record of winning grants in the corporate, foundation and government sectors.
