HOW DO I SIGN-UP?
 
You can register with either of the following two options at www.ocbfchurch.org and clicking on the summer camp icon.

  • Online Registration
    • Complete and submit the Application of Admission (online registration only)
      • Registration and/or tuition payment will be required at this point.
    • Then complete these documents online and print.
      • Letter of Agreement*
      • Field Trip Permission Form*
      • Health Care Form* (in conjnction with a physical)
        *These forms must be completed, printed and brought to Project Turn Around by June 1st.
  • In-person Registration
    • Complete the Application of Admission (in person registration only)
    • Print entire document and bring with payment to the Project Turn Around office at 7140 Library Ln. Dallas, TX 75232.

 

DO YOU PROVIDE PHYSICALS?
Yes. For your convenience we will have a doctor on site May 30th 9:00am-1:00pm and June 5th 6:00pm-9:00pm to provide physicals. The cost of the physical is $20.00 payable in cash only. Please call 214-672-9100 x1600 to make appointments. Parents should note that applications will not be accepted without a recent physical (12 months or less).

 

WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS?
Our camp accepts children from 5 years of age thru 14.

 

WHAT ARE THE CAMP SESSION DATES?
Our camp has three session dates; Session one June 8- July 3rd, Session two July 6th – July 31st, Session three August 3rd – August 21st.

 

WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS?
Our camp accepts children from 5 years of age thru 14.

 

WHO CAN I CALL?
The hotline number for the TurnAround Summer Program before camp starts is 214-672-9100 ext. 1600

 

IS THERE A PARENT ORIENTATION?
Yes, there is a mandatory parent orientation on Friday, June 5. 2009 at 7:00p.m. in the C.E. gymnasium.

 

WHAT ARE THE SUMMER CAMP HOURS?
You can drop your child off as early as 6:45a.m. and camp closes at 6:00p.m.

 

WHAT IF I AM LATE?
Late fees begin to accrue at 6:06p.m. at a rate of $10.00 for the first minute and $5.00 for each minute thereafter.

 

WHAT MEALS ARE PROVIDED?
Lunch is provided on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Parents provide lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Breakfast is provided daily.

 

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT METHODS?
You may pay online at the time of registration or in person with a cashier’s check or money order.

 

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT?
The entire Summer Program has been planned in advance! This should allow you to keep up with what your child is doing. Calendars which include meal plans are available at the beginning of each session in the camp office and online at
www.ocbfchurch.org.

 

HOW DO YOU HANDLE MEDICATION AND EMERGENCIES?
A Medication Information sheet must be completed for prescription medications. The staff will not administer over-the-counter drugs. In the event of an emergency 911 is called first and the Health Care Form is consulted for additional information.

 

HOW WILL MY CHILD BE TRANSPORTED TO ACTIVITIES?
We will use buses and mini-buses owned by OCBF, along with Dallas County school buses.

 

WHAT CAN MY CHILD WEAR TO SUMMER CAMP?
Children are expected to wear modest and appropriate clothing to camp daily. We provide a dress code policy and procedure handout to each family that participates in the summer program.

 

HOW DO YOU HANDLE DISCIPLINE OF THE CHILDREN?
Depending upon the seriousness of the offense we are allowed to give warnings or possibly have the child picked up by their parent.  We provide a handout to each family outlining our policy and procedure in regards to discipline.
