JV Basketball 101 – I’ve been playing basketball for as long as I can remember. Sound familiar? If you have a little one that wants to get started sooner rather than later this camp is for you. This camp will focus on the basics of basketball for the lower levels (catching, passing, dribbling, lay-ups, and defense). If the foundation is correct everything else will fall in place! AGE Group JV TAKS Test Prep – If your child is struggling or just needs to get ready to pass the TAKS test this may be the camp for you. We will use our computer lab and a certified teacher to help your child study and improve those skills that may be holding them back. Use this summer to get ahead or get on track. Age Group Junior Varsity / Varsity
Varsity basketball – Do you want to get to the next level? This camp stresses four things. 1. Fundamentals taught and done correctly. 2. Fundamentals done correctly, at a fast pace. 3. Fundamentals done correctly, at a fast pace, under pressure. 4. Fundamentals done correctly, at a fast pace, under pressure when you’re tired. We want to push you to the next level. Swim Camp – Preparing for the Olympics or first time in the water. Either way this camp is for you. All campers are taught water safety and pool etiquette. Beginners are taught how to breathe properly, float and basic swim strokes. More advanced swimmers are taught various swim strokes, turns and speed work. With this camp all you do is Just Add Water! Age Group 6-14 yr olds
Volleyball – Hand eye coordination, great hops!! This is for you. Volleyball campers will learn to serve, receive, forearm passing, setting, attacking and blocking. All that along with team defense, team reception, transition and attack coverage. Teamwork is the key. Age Group 10-14 yr olds
Flag Football – Think you’re fast, smooth, and agile? The coaches over this camp will put you through cone drills, blocking drills, passing drills, receiving drills, pass rush drills, grass drills and more drills. After that we will play some football. If this is your game then this is your camp. Age Group JV
Soccer – It’s all about the feet. Are you a midfielder? Maybe you’re a striker or how about a goalie? Let us help you figure it all out. Our coaches will stress team work and discipline. Our desire is for you to be all that you can be. Age Group JV
Baseball / T-ball – Going, going GONE!!!! In this camp you will learn hitting technique, base running, how to slide and bunting. You will also be schooled in the fundamentals of catching, throwing and fielding techniques. Let your bat do the talking. Age Group Baseball 9-14 / T-ball 5-8 yr olds
Track & Field – How you start can affect how you finish. Pick up these fundamentals in track & field camp: how to start, how to lean, how to stretch, stick hand-off, kick and finishing. You’re as fast as you think you are? Sometime you’re even faster than you think you are. Age Group 7-14 yr olds
Cheerleading – The ultimate “spirit” leaders. Learn to encourage and motivate as only cheerleaders can. How to stand, jump, yell, stunts and flips are among the many things that will be covered during this camp. Being loud is just the beginning. Age Group JV
JV Dance – Cha-cha with your left, cha-cha with your right… turn to the left… If you love music and it makes you want to move this might be for you. This beginner’s camp will teach the fundamentals of dance technique and expression. The first “step” is to sign-up. Age Group JV
Varsity Dance – I love it, but gosh, it’s tough!! Double time just took on a whole new meaning. Our coaches’ step up the pace while teaching technique and self expression in each of the following; praise, jazz, modern, and hip hop. If you can keep up we could be dance partners. Age Group Varsity
Self-Defense – Protection for you starts with you. This camp provides instruction on defending and protecting yourself from attack including blocking, kicking, straight arms and strikes. You will also learn where the sensitive areas of the body are for counter attack. Confidence comes from preparation. Age Group JV
Beauty Basics – Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. Let your creative juices flow and create things of beauty. Camp will cover hair design, natural products for facials and skin care. Care of hands and feet will also be included. Age Group Varsity
JV No Kitchen Cooking 101 – Is it snack time yet? It will be after you finish this camp. JV Cooking Camp will focus on dishes that satisfy your appetite, please the palate and make mom and dad feel safe having you in the kitchen. Cooking is what you make of it. Age group JV
Varsity No Kitchen Cooking – I am a chef, because I say so! Making smoothies, salads, sandwiches and other delectable’s are what this camp is all about. Come away twice the chef you were when you entered. The taste is in the ingredients. Age Group Varsity
Photography – Learn to frame your world. This hands on interactive camp allows each camper the chance to capture through a viewfinder what they see as important. A natural eye, creativity and technology come together to create beautiful images. Learn what makes a camera work and how you become part of the process. Age Group 7-14 yr olds
Tennis – Game, set, match, winner! Join this camp and learn everything you need to know and then some about the game of tennis. Serve, volley, backhand, lob, footwork, follow through. All these things will get you going in the right direction. Quiet please. Serve in progress. Age Group Varsity
Ice Skating – Ice, Ice Baby. Join this camp and take ice skating classes at the Parks Mall. Class is designed for all levels. There will also be time to practice what you’ve learned. We will create a little competition to boot. It’s a winter feel and summer temperatures. Age Group Junior Varisty / Varsity
Video Gaming – X-BOX 360, WII, PLAY STATION. WOW!!! You just thought you were a video game whizz. This camp will really test your skills. You will go against other campers and staff that think they are better than you. Think you’re a Gamer? You say you got skills? Bring it on!! Age Group JV / Varsity
Drill / Twirl – High kick! High kick! Turn and jump! This camp encompasses a little bit of everything. You’ll learn to move as a unit. But you learn to twirl a baton all by yourself. In either case you will gain skills for both. Come and learn how they make it look so easy. Age Group Varsity
Communication 101 – Communication, big word with lots of options. You could speak with your hands or in some other language. We also use a language not verbally spoken but come thru loud and clear. Your personality, your speech and your body language all affect how you are perceived. It’s all about communication! In this camp you will learn how to communicate in a different language (Spanish), communicate with your hands and understand how your personality affects your communication. Age Group Varsity
Drama – You can’t handle the truth!!! You had me at helloJ. Do you like expressing different emotions? Maybe you like getting in touch with different sides of your personality. Or, you just like bringing characters to life. This camp will allow you to do just that. If it’s inside of you, we will bring it out. Age Group Junior Varsity / Varsity
Teen Summit – I’m too old for camp! I’m bored! This thinking is common among teenagers. This camp is designed to meet your teen where they are. Our teens will participate in open talk forums, trainings geared specifically toward them as well as some fun activities to allow them to burn off some of that energy. Age Group 13 and older
Golf – Tiger Woods or just Tiger! Join this camp and hit the greens. Golf is a relaxing game and it’s always played against the course. Learn your woods and irons, your driver and your putter. This is a game that you have to really work at to perfect. Age Group Varsity
Board Games – The key to monopoly is who owns Boardwalk. Chess, the thinking man’s game. If you love playing board games or any other table top game you’re going to love this camp. You will learn to play or improve your existing skills in a variety of games. Thinking, planning or just having fun this camp delivers it all. Age Group Junior Varsity / Varsity
Fine Arts – Creativity is my middle name. I need a way to express myself. If this describes you then welcome, you’ve found your camp. You will be exposed to a variety of avenues that will allow you to show your creativity. Age Group Junior Varsity
Computer / Keyboarding – I love to surf the net! Keyboarding relaxes me. This camp is for the computer savvy and the novice alike. You can surf the net, play computer games, learn to type or familiarize yourself with different Microsoft software. Age Group Junior Varsity / Varsity
Drum Class – Rat-a-tat-tat, rat-a-tat-tat. Take that beat that’s in your head and turn it into music. Students will learn the basics and fundamentals of playing the drums. They will be taught how to read drum music and to play by ear. Age Group Junior Varsity / Varsity
Bible Institute – GOD, is he in you? Learn to study GOD’s word, meditate on GOD’s word and apply GOD’s word. All campers will take three courses designed to enrich his/her spiritual growth. Classes include New Testament Survey, Old Testament Survey and Conflict Resolution. Age Group All Campers
