Administrative Assistant

Summary:  Under general supervision, perform complex administrative and clerical duties by performing the following duties:

Job Functions: 

  • Oversee all aspects of general office coordination.
  • Maintain office calendars to coordinate work flow, meetings, appointments, etc.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, and visitors.
  • Answer a multi-line telephone and transfer calls to appropriate staff member(s) and/or take messages.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence including faxes and email and sign for and distribute UPS/FedEx or similarly delivered packages.

Associate Pastor-Christian Education

Summary: Implement the goals and objectives approved by the Senior Pastor ensuring that the church’s vision and mission are integrated through the entire Christian Education Ministry by performing the following duties personally or through others:

Job Functions:

  • Ensure that the Adult Education, Children’s Ministry, Pre-School, FCA, and Youth Ministry are operating in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
  • Establish current and long-range goals, objectives, plans and policies, subject to approval by the Senior Pastor.
  • Dispense advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans, standards and procedures, consistent with established policies and Board approval.
  • Review operating results of the ministry, compare them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Meet with other ministry heads to ensure that operations are being executed in accordance with the ministry's policies.
  • Serve as a resource person to Adult, Youth, Children, Pre-School, and FCA programs.
  • Evaluate the evolving needs of the congregation in the area of education and work to continually improve current programming to ensure that it is meeting the spiritual and educational needs of the congregation. 
  • Administer the work of Christian Education programs encouraging teamwork and mutual support and providing leadership and nurture to these programs. 
  • Encourage and promote staff development and training and evaluate and provide opportunities for staff to grow in their selected field as well as all other areas of their lives.
  • Integrate biblical principles with organizational management.
  • Provide spiritual guidance to staff and volunteers on a regular basis.
  • Provide spiritual leadership and policy management as a member of the Elder Board.
  • Assist in conducting wedding and funeral services.
  • Prepare and deliver sermons, seminars, workshops and devotions as required.
  • Complete Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship’s leadership requirements as established by the ministry.

Education and/or Experience:                                             

Master's degree (M. A.), Mdiv, ThM, MBA or equivalent; three to five years related experience and/or training. Must be an ordained, licensed minister who can validate his call to the ministry. Must have knowledge of biblical theology and Christian Education.

Childcare Coordinator-Part Time

Summary:  Oversee, facilitate, shepherd and coordinate the entire Kingdom Zone areas in the Children’s Ministry.  Make sure program functions adequately and safely.  Organize and lead activities of children in nursery through 12 years of age or in playrooms by performing the following duties:

 Job Functions:

  • Organize, train & oversee ministry teams for Kingdom Zone area.
  • Oversee & direct all weekly activities of staff.
  • Organize, staff, and supervise childcare for special events and church departmental activities.
  • Ensure that classrooms, check-in & safety procedures are in place daily.
  • Support and maintain the parent-serve for ministry service.
  • Oversee and maintain both childcare age and nursery budgets.
  • Adequately stock supplies, learning materials and other equipment.  Organize and ensure that the ministry operates to its utmost in cleanliness and with a safe environment as its posture.
  • Collect and launder used crib sheets weekly and clean/disinfect dirty toys as necessary.
  • Routinely inspect equipment, toys and supplies and report maintenance needs to appropriate personnel. 
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, children and parents.
  • Maintain adequate and accurate attendance records and employee records.
  • Insure that the established policies and procedures related to the Kingdom Zone Program are carried out.

Education and/or Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Development or Business; One to two years supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Requires knowledge of Christian principles and the policies and procedures of OCBF and child development ratios.  Requires skill leading a person to Christ. 

Licenses/Certifications:

  • CPR and First Aid Certified.

Summary:  Perform kitchen duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates by performing the following duties:

Job Functions: 

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills fryers and a variety of other kitchen appliances.
  • Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sauteing, or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
  • Prepare, setup, and serve at catered events such as meetings, conferences, weddings, funerals, etc.
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including shelves and cooking equipment.
  • Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.
  • Assist the Food Service Supervisor in preparing a monthly inventory of all items in stock in the kitchen dry storage and freezer.
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen.

High school diploma or equivalent; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Must be willing to work outside of normal schedule for catered events.

Custodian

Summary:  Keep church campus and other church properties in a clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

Job Functions: 

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers.
  • Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
  • Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets.
  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
  • Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
  • Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow/ ice or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
  • Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds/curtains. Launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
  • Performs minor repairs as assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Director of Information Technology

Summary:  Direct and coordinate the development and production activities of the Information Technology Department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates:

Job Functions:

  • Consult with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
  • Recommend and develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s network security procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
  • Keep the Information Technology department updated on the latest technological advances to ensure the organization as well as the Information Technology staff remains proactive.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor management information systems’ policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Negotiate and contract with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
  • Develop, maintain, and tests disaster recovery plans.

  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product concerning the copiers.
  • Complete Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship’s leadership requirements as outlined by the ministry.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field. Five to ten years of experience in managing one or more information processing functions (operations, development, etc.) and/or through advanced training.  The successful candidate will be a Certified Network Engineer (CNE)

Preschool Teacher Assistant

Job Functions:

  • Assist teachers with curriculum planning, supervision, and teaching of children in a classroom setting.
  • Plan, prepare, and/or develop various teaching aides for use in the classroom, including activity sheets, drawings, and handouts.
  • Provide a safe and stimulating educational environment.

Security Officer

Summary: Guard ministry property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties:

Job Functions: 

  • Patrol buildings and grounds of ministry and affiliate establishments or work sites.
  • Maintain a daily patrol log to be submitted to Security Supervisor.
  • Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
  • Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
  • Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
  • Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
  • Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain orderly flow.

Education and/or Experience:                                             

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years related experience and/or training. Must have valid driver license. Must be eligible for State Certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Substitute Preschool Teacher

Summary: Responsible for the general supervision and management of a class of pre-school children, ages 18 months to 4 years-old in the absence of the regular teacher. Provide a supportive and caring environment by performing the following duties:

Job Functions:

  • Follow lesson plans left by regular teacher.
  • Implement appropriate early childhood education experiences with a variety of materials in the fields of art, music, literature, science, etc.
  • Maintain daily attendance report for children in assigned group.
  • Promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
  • Maintain progress records of each child's growth and development, prepare periodic reports, and review with the director and parents.
  • Work with parents to promote understanding of their child's growth and development; encourage parent participation in school programs; attend parent group and Pre-School functions; conduct conferences on request.

Summary:  Teach school students academic, social, and motor skills at Fellowship Christian Academy in the absence of the regular teacher by performing the following duties:

Job Functions:

  • Follow lesson plans left by the regular teacher.
  • Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting quality student performance in both academic and social behavior.
  • Lecture, demonstrate, and use audiovisual teaching aids to present subject matter to class.
  • Maintain order in the classroom and on the playground.
  • Keep attendance and grade records as required by the school.
  • Keep students, teachers, parents and the administration adequately informed of progress and deficiencies.
  • Follow Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration.

Education and/or Experience:                                             

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university. Texas Teacher’s Certification is preferred. The successful candidate will have the capability to teach in all subject areas and possess the ability to use behavior modification strategies.
